@EhzNow Yes, only God can judge, and I personally refrain from making judgments about someone else’s heart for that reason.
My question came from a desire to rationalise the relationship between salvation by faith alone, and evidence of changed heart, seen in many Reformed commentaries.

There is a subtlety here lost in condensing to a Twitter post, but the parallel is rather beautiful and makes sense of some difficult Leviticus passages. I’d like to give 18th century theologian Matthew Henry credit for helping bring Leviticus to life for me.
Leviticus 13:3-4 tells us leprous disease that is only skin deep is not unclean. But if it is deeper than the skin, a person is unclean. For us, weaknesses that exist alongside grace that do not sink deep into the soul, when the mind still serves the law of God - we may delight.

Its internal coherence; prophecies made and then fulfilled, sets these 66 books apart from anything else.
