@Vinsaneforjesus @Carpet16100850 What a fantastic achievement, and a lovely picture! My daughter is going through her High School exams at the moment. The most stressful thing anyone will ever do, in my experience! Well done Vince.

@OnTongues I’ve spent the evening revising the text on some of my older pieces. Much happier with many of them now. I will be updating the versions on my blog over the course of the next week… 75 posts to update in total!

This thread and the linked article are a chilling statement on the power of the platforms we are forced to rely on to prevent gracious and kind speech and ideas, where those ideas concern Christ, Jesus and the Gospel. Please read it. It will make you angry. Remember this when… twitter.com/PilgrimIntoWor…

@OnTongues Yes, I think of them as meditations on an idea, often. I spend a lot of time mulling on them. The ‘tweet text’ I include alongside the image is increasingly more punchy to cover both bases. It is a fine balance!

@OnTongues Thanks for the ‘image quote’ 😀 I needed a lift today and this was that! I need to revisit some of these older pics as the font / scripture isn’t as clear as I’d like. Live and learn 😀

@realdanieltitus @instablog9ja That’s a beautiful dress.

@rzrvinyl I wasn’t expecting to see that on my feed today! I don’t have any Subhumans but have quite a few releases on Dick’s Bluurg label. Culture Shock, The Rhythmites. AOS3. I was very into Radical Dance Faction (RDF) who had a similar attitude (though more roots/reggae than punk). That…

@rzrvinyl I love this!

@thomasitsok Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. The awe and reverence we will feel in His presence will be like nothing we could currently imagine. We who believe with fruits in keeping of repentance are fully covered by Christ’s grace but it’s not something I’ll be taking lightly!

@Svigel Faithful translations are not infallible. We are lucky that we have many good translations into English, and so can survey the total of human wisdom on topics to determine consensus. All else is interpretation on the part of the reader, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

@jc_Craze @mickdscott @dilipkjena 100%. For believers the fear of God is reverence, respect. When we compare our paltry efforts at being righteous to His, how far short we fall of His greatness, we should be fearful, but His mercy and love, and kindness will lift us who truly believe and repent #HealthyFaithChat

@dilipkjena A8. Oh yes. #HealthyFaithChat t.co/QFUWTZfWW…

@dilipkjena A7. Jesus himself uses Jonah’s three days first foretell his own death and resurrection (Matthew 12:40). This was in response to the Pharisees demanding another miracle. Clearly Jonah’s experience was a miracle, as was Christ’s death and ressurection. #HealthyFaithChat

@dilipkjena A5/2 The fear of God (v16) is the beginning of understanding. These men were seeking salvation, and their prayers were very real. #HealthyFaithChat

@dilipkjena A5. In verse 16 the seamen ‘offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made vows’. Their prayers were those of people seeking to be joined with God. By this point they were not unbelievers They had witnessed His power and knew there was no other true God. #HealthyFaithChat

@PilgrimIntoWord @dilipkjena 👍👌 #HealthyFaithChat

@naenaenuss @dilipkjena A4 Yes. Jonah had to submit to God’s plan. And God’s plan needed to play out. Jonah’s sojourn in the fish is way more than a fairytale, an important foreshadowing of Christ’s death and resurrection. There was purpose to the events that had to unfold. #HealthyFaithChat

@dilipkjena A3. I’m not sure this interpretation is supported by scripture. Jonah gave himself up to the Lord’s will when he told the sailors to throw him overboard. That is the point when he ceased rebelling. But he needed to repent. And he was to in the belly of the fish. #HealthyFaithChat
