@Carpet16100850 I was only reading 3 chapters a day from Leviticus through Deuteronomy; you do need to take those slow, or the significance of the ceremonial laws, Tabernacle and sacrifices get lost - and you know that understanding them in the light of Christ’s coming is where the beauty lies!

@Carpet16100850 I’ve had quite a bit of time recently, so been reading commentary as well as David Pawson’s excellent Unlocking The Bible as I go. My objective this time is to go end to end at a good pace. Then I’m going to slow right down and maybe spend a month each in some of the key books.

@thescottbarber Ichabod means ‘inglorious’ or ‘without glory’ so not sure on that! Abbadon means ‘destroyer’ or ‘destruction’, so… you might wanna be a bit careful with that too!

I know someone named Dorcas - isn’t it a female name? She was a Pastor’s daughter! That one is a nice one 😀

@SarahGeringer Wow! What a treat! You’ve done well!

Yes, I’ve made it through Chronicles which made so much more sense this time round than the first. Perhaps I was better able to see the wood for the trees but it was the stuff that wasn’t in Kings and Samuel that jumped out this time, not the stuff that was.

And now… t.co/oii35LlZG…

@RealPaulAhnert Don’t stop believin' !

@EndOfTimes777 Hi there! t.co/JGMIFQN1d…

Acts 19:2 I do love how Acts progressively unfolds the full glory of God and his work within us. buff.ly/3WiqIV3 t.co/XZw3LUiIF…

@Brink_Thinker This is true, but we should not make a vainglorious show of it.

Matthew 6:3-4 “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

@StoneKamino War is sometimes necessary, and hindsight is wonderful. Though we will never know the affect of either never having deployed atomic weapons in 1945 on the course of the War, or the ensuing peace, where the utter destruction of nuclear weapons is plain and abhorrent to all.

@men_like_trees Interesting… I will need to give this further thought when I get to Job as it’s a year since I read it through in full. I should be hitting Job in my walk through the OT this time next week.

@men_like_trees Wonderful news. It was clear how hard you were working, even from here!

@ekkiet Ha ha ha! Godzilla’s on the move 😄

@ed_lamon And what a bombshell THAT was.

@strongvoice @RobertL215 @Luke17_37 @Jcrotty56 @men_like_trees You will like this. I did.

@EllieR Now that would depend on who it came from! Did they identify as a pot or a kettle?

@ed_lamon #1. Would be Heaven on earth to be honest. No downpayment necessary.

@ed_lamon Ouch!

@StoneKamino One of my favourite songs from the 80’s. Amazing lyrics for a pop song. They don’t make them like these anymore.

I find it extraordinary that the plane was named after the pilots mother. I guess it was just ‘his plane’ but what a legacy. g.co/kgs/7bhHuy

@JesseDornfeld @falconofstorms Elon’s takeover of Twitter is a case in point.

@ed_lamon What a handsome floofer!

@men_like_trees I hope you’ve had a breakthrough 🙏🏻

@virginia_garret Christmas is one of the hardest times of the year. So many reasons. I hope you make it to the other side without too much pain. This is a great song, I needed encouragement. Keep my head down, mask on. Won’t say much more but know you are not alone, on earth, and in heaven.

@Carpet16100850 1 Cor 4:20–21 For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power. What do you wish? Shall I come to you with a rod, or with love in a spirit of gentleness?

With gentleness and by example, you will light the way. I pray that God will work his wonder, in His time.
