@HoneycombHermit I thought your ideas were great, hopefully providence swings your way soon.
Proverbs 3:3 Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.

Hebrews 9:11–12 Not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

@AndrewS76825037 Very well reasoned. Thank you.
@AndrewS76825037 Oh yes, see my follow-up posts. Far more to unpack than can be squeezed into a single tweet!
@AndrewS76825037 Instead, in grateful thanks for His wonderful work on the Cross, we seek to keep His commandments, as He did, but broken and imperfect, failing, but with humble and contrite hearts.
@AndrewS76825037 The Law was necessary and had to be observed. Man was incapable of doing so, and so part of Jesus' saving grace was take the fulfilment of the Law upon himself.
If He had ‘abolished’ the Law we might have to ask why His sacrifice was necessary.
@AndrewS76825037 Jesus, in His perfection, was
- the only person capable of meeting the demands of the Law
- the apotheosis of the Law itself
- our propitiary substitute who fulfilled the requirements of the Law as a gift so we no longer had to; providing we believe on Him and accept that gift

Romans 8:38–39
Neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

@HoneycombHermit This could spill over into something really serious.

1 Corinthians 15:20 Christ is the firstfruit of the risen.
In Leviticus 23:10 God tells Israel that they are to bring the firstfruits of their first Harvest of the promised land to Him. No grain was sown in the desert and the manna stopped with the firstfruits.

Christ rose from the dead on the day of the Festival of Firstfruits. By His death and resurrection, by His substitutionary sacrifice, He washed away our sins. t.co/XXJ7mX20m…

@Carpet16100850 @DrFrankTurek Especially when that consensus is held by secularists who seek most often to use their tools and platform to deny and erase God. It’s difficult to trust them on that ‘science’ when that is their praxis.
@Carpet16100850 @DrFrankTurek It’s the easy out for anyone wanting to reconcile ‘science’ with scripture. ‘Science’ as far as biogenesis and creation ex nihilo is as dependent upon faith as a plain reading of Genesis. And conforming our Biblical interpretation to a changing scientific consensus is folly.
@virginia_garret Just you wait kiddo!
Titus 3:4–7 Jesus saves us, not because of the righteous things we do, but because of his mercy. And thank the Lord for this - the best I have to offer are filthy rags compared to Almighty and Holy God.
