@JesseDornfeld You will ace it Jesse. Just be yourself and do it your way. Know your limits and remember your audience aren’t seminary graduates with scorecards! The Holy Spirit will keep your paths straight!

1 Peter 5:6–9 Cast all your anxieties on Him. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around seeking someone to devour. Resist him, knowing that your same suffering is being experienced by others throughout the world.

Two score years and ten tomorrow. My jubilee. I guess I need to start thinking about my first Saga holiday. t.co/bgmzS4Lfr…

Psalm 121:1–2 I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

@JesseDornfeld 👌🏻 Thank you for noticing! Yes, I wanted to put the emphasis back on the meat, rather than just the pudding. You need both to satisfy a hunger 😀

Philippians 4:12–13 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.

@HoneycombHermit Nice poem! I had exactly this conversation with my wife this morning. I can’t believe that Dahl’s estate allowed the rewriting of his ideas, to the point where the entire meaning of some parts was reversed. And the vocabulary has been hollowed out too! Just let his work be.

This headline doesn’t make sense! @Telegraph t.co/Zo8vxRxsH…

@SarahGeringer @PilgrimIntoWord Thank you for leading. I love the question cards! So easy to find them! #healthyfaithchat

@SarahGeringer A8. Sins we should be mindful of - Pride. Gossip. Bullying. Good things we could be doing - encouraging and supporting others to do what is good and right, discipling.

#healthyfaithchat

@SarahGeringer A7. We who have knowledge of just how important God’s name is, are called to a higher standard of conduct than those who are ignorant. As children wish to please the parents who made and provide for them, we should wish to please Him. It is fruit, not works. #healthyfaithchat

@SarahGeringer A6. The worst are false-teachers taking His name and leading people the crooked path to damnation. #healthyfaithchat

@PilgrimIntoWord @SarahGeringer A5½: Ha! I was just going to say exactly the same thing. ‘Have you ever wondered why everyone’s name in The Bible meant something about their person, character or destiny’. #healthyfaithchat

@SarahGeringer A4. No one can take from Him the Glory that is rightly His. The name ‘YHWH’ describes God as Creator, without Him there would be nothing. If we deny this of Him, if we take this for granted, or attribute it to another, we deny Him. #healthyfaithchat

@SarahGeringer A3. YHWH, The name God’s gave as His personal name, describes Him by his most elemental attribute: “He Brings into Existence Whatever Exists” or something along those lines. Thus was it since before Creation. Everything since is named by Him or those He created. #healthyfaithchat

@campbosco @SarahGeringer I do find it incredible how God’s name, and Jesus' name come almost reflexivly to the lips of children, let alone adults, at least in our western culture, despite it’s secularism. It’s a sign of The Fall, IMO, like children not being taught to lie, yet they do. #HealthyFaithChat

@SarahGeringer A2. When I realised this aspect to His commandment, it was like a light going off. As our Creator He deserves the glory, and justly demands it. Piper does well to capture the multiple facets of this picture. #healthyfaithchat

@Pappy_Mitchell @SarahGeringer 100%

@SarahGeringer A1. There’s much more to this commandment than using His name as a curse-word. That’s only the half of it.

Acting as if He doesn’t see or care what you are doing. Misrepresenting Him and His word. Treating Him as if He were just another wooden God. #HealthyFaithChat

@SarahGeringer @CSLCHSnMore Grease 2 🤣

@CSLCHSnMore Much better than being ‘Old Nick’! #HealthyFaithChat

@CSLCHSnMore Hi all, Nick here. The last movie I saw at the cinema was Ghostbusters: Afterlife! Not a bad film really, the kids in it were great! #HealthyFaithChat
