@dilipkjena A7. God ceasing His work of Creation does not mean he stopped working. Christ’s incarnation and ministry on earth is testament to that. Christ’s work was needed because mankind needed a redeemer; we could not break free of Adam’s curse by ourselves. #HealthyFaithChat
@dilipkjena A6. God desires genuine works of the heart, not vainglorious sacrifices meant to impress others. #HealthyFaithChat
@Gorilla2070 @KevinObie1 It must be a Little League because I’ve never heard of it 😁 t.co/DG9Zxp0X7…
@dilipkjena A5. God clearly doesn’t violate His own Commandments, so there must be something to be learnt here: That the Sabbath day is for Him. For His glory. The fruits of one’s faith is not work. #HealthyFaithChat
@dilipkjena A4. To set them apart from those around them. #HealthyFaithChat
@dilipkjena A3. Before Day 7 creation was a work in progress. While each element was perfect, it was not yet complete. Completion is important; blessing the day, making it Holy marked it as special. To be remembered+reflected in the weekly cycle of work of His chosen people

@dilipkjena A2b. With the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8 #HealthyFaithChat
@dilipkjena A2. I have always understood rest to be metaphorical. When you finish a job you step back and survey what you have done, you reflect upon a job well done. You have a cup of tea and appreciate the fruit of your work. Some say we are still in the 7th Day.

@PilgrimIntoWord @KevinObie1 You beat me to it!
@dilipkjena A1. On the seventh day God finished his work of creation, rested, and blessed the day, making it holy. The world was perfect and whole, and man was without sin. It was very good. That day was the perfect day. #HealthyFaithChat
@PilgrimIntoWord @CSLCHSnMore The United States is the only country that could have a national game called ‘The World Series’ 😀 #HealthyFaithChat
@CSLCHSnMore Hello everyone, Nick here. This World Series you’re talking about… I’m guessing that’s a reference to the gentleman’s game of Snooker?
#HealthyFaithChat
@JesseDornfeld I hope it went well.

“And her parents were amazed, but he charged them to tell no one what had happened.”

Luke 8:54–56 But taking her by the hand he called, saying, “Child, arise.” And her spirit returned, and she got up at once. And her parents were amazed, but he charged them to tell no one what had happened.

@Carpet16100850 You’ll probably find that these forums are aimed at finding common ground. I’d avoid suggesting that other faiths are false unless you’re comfortable dealing with potential HR complaints! I think you can share the Gospel at work w/out being as direct as you would on your own time
Isaiah 51:1–2 Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness, you who seek the Lord: look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the quarry from which you were dug.

Look to Abraham your father and to Sarah who bore you; for he was but one when I called him, that I might bless him and multiply him.
I’m very sorry to hear about Dr. Michael Heiser’s passing. I only came to know of Dr. Heiser’s work properly in recent months, but was impressed by it’s depth and his willingness to cover Biblical topics that often don’t get serious scholarly attention.
I know that he was looking forward to being reunited with the family of God and His council, in it’s fullness: what joy to be released from this earthly realm and united with the Lord. And what a precious legacy.
John 15:4–5 As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.

John 15:5
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. t.co/JiLuMx4YB…
