@CSLCHSnMore A3. Defence of myself or my family. In extremis, if I were called to in defence of my country. My perspective towards war more broadly is that it must be jusitified, and that would depend upon the legimitimacy of the government at the time, and the threat.

@CSLCHSnMore A2. A ‘true blue pacifist’ m ight say that there are no circumstances under which killing another person was justified. I say that self defence and defence of nation are distinctions that are justified, and believe the Bible supports this distinction. #HealthyFaithChat

@CSLCHSnMore #HealthyFaithChat A1. You shall not murder.

@CSLCHSnMore Hi all, Nick here. Glad to be back after a week under the weather. Fav movie? Um… it’s been so long I’ve thought about watching a movie! But I must have watched The Matrix a dozen or more times! #HealthyFaithChat

@JesseDornfeld I agree. Let’s say that if you hold to the sanctity of marriage, the least a Christian therapist can do is respect that and not try to undermine it. At least that is what I would hope. I experienced the opposite with a secular counsellor which did more harm than good at the time.

@AndrewS76825037 The Matrix would be in my Top 3 too.

@heyjustpray @TheBabylonBee Now they are looking for the first pencil, which legend has it was used to tension the tape properly after it got chewed when Leah ‘borrowed’ it.

@HoneycombHermit Happy Birthday Keren! 🎉🎉 I love how frenetic the water looks! So much movement despite how your arms were feeling. Good things from bad times perhaps.

Remember this is Twitter. If you want full details read the Bible!

“And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Revelation 21:2 tells us that the eternal Kingdom will be here on Earth. We will not spend eternity in Heaven, but on Earth.

This seems lost to most Christians. Heaven for most of us will be but a staging post; only for those who leave their mortal bodies before the advent of the new heaven and new earth. The new Heaven will be home to Gods holy council.

@CSLCHSnMore If I’m understanding Luke 19 right, we should have hope that we will be ruling somewhere upwards of 5 or 10 cities in the new millenium. Your mansion offer is nice an’ all, but nah, I’m not sure I’ll need it 😀

@PilgrimIntoWord Another angle on the same malaise. Taking this together with your point, something very insidious has been done to the thinking of our young people for this to come to pass. telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/03/0…

@JesseDornfeld They certainly made me think, and when that happens I like to share it!

@JesseDornfeld Chapter 18 speaks of clay when it is soft. 19 speaks of clay once it has hardened. God uses both but one makes fine porcelain, the other, rough earthenware. Even broken shards were used as tools by the ancient Israelites. Paul picked up on a lot of the nuances in NT too.

@JesseDornfeld Hi Jesse. Thank you for this! An interesting read as always. You cover a lot of bases and it deserves repeated reading. One thing I enjoyed going through in detail recently bears mentioning. Ch 18+19 of Jeremiah are important to build out the potter/clay analogy in full.

@JasonTimerson @JesseDornfeld Simon of Cyrene - who carried Christ’s cross to Calvary - came from North Africa. Jeremiah was saved by an Ethiopian called Ebed-Melech, when King Zedekiah left him to rot in a cistern. All manking are made in the image of God, and all are part of God’s holy plan.

@JasonTimerson @JesseDornfeld 100%. I’d add that Israel’s separation from the other nations was based upon their relationship with the Lord, and not their ethnicity. The issue with the Canaanites, for example, was not their ethnicity, but their idolatry.

@SarahGeringer Wow! Well done Sarah. 2023 is looking like it’s turning out great for you!

@CSLCHSnMore @backpewguy Oopsie 🥺

Judges 13:17–18 Then Manoah enquired of the angel of the Lord, ‘What is your name, so that we may honour you when your word comes true?’ He replied, ‘Why do you ask my name? It is beyond understanding.’

Ecclesiastes 1:18 For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief. Luke 12:48 Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.

Ezekiel 33:24-27 t.co/Zkt3qxjQS…

There are some incredible passages in Ezekiel that read like they are straight out of one of the New Testament epistles. Ezekiel’s revelations were far more than just visions of judgement and hope.
