@TheAutisticSem ‘yoga pants’ is going on my Mute list 😀
People who follow me, only to unfollow a few days after I’ve followed back: You might want to have a think about what it says about your character… 🤔
If you’re tempted to get sucked down the plughole that is Christian Twitter’s inane ‘trending’ talking points, take some time out and give some thought to Christians with real issues to worry about. t.co/Yc5apqJS3…
@JesseDornfeld Acts really is quite unvarnished, a lesson for those who follow, if they were humble enough to realise there might be something to learn.
Acts 15:37–40 A rare soap-opera moment causes Paul and Barnabus to go their separate ways. Luke spills the beans on fellow disciple Mark…

@AndrewS76825037 @SteveElshaw Whether you care about causing someone to stumble or not.
@Vinsaneforjesus @ant_911 I knew I’d seen it somewhere before!
@Carpet16100850 Thank you both, your friendship here is so appreciated!
@StoneKamino @JDejenkins @OliveTreeBible Olive Tree Bible on the iPad is my main study tool. Highly recommended. They have apps for PC, Mac and Andoid too, and all sync nicely.
Acts 13:1–2 If Saul had history, I wonder what stories Manaen might have had to tell.

@Vinsaneforjesus @chris_jolliff Thank you Vince ☺️ I’m so glad you found it encouraging! When I wrote it I didn’t have much idea about what I was doing and certainly didn’t read those ‘how to write a Testimony’ guides! I need to do a public version sometime. It was always my intention to put it on my blog but…
@Vinsaneforjesus Thank you Vince, that means a lot to me. 🙏🏻
@Vinsaneforjesus @Carpet16100850 I know God has a plan for me and my family. It’s a long plan but I know he has a plan.

@JesseDornfeld The result of this is comforting. I think I’m in constant conversation, a lot of my thoughts are a silent conversation, pleas for forgiveness when I get things wrong, questions about what is going on, reflections on His word. Still a battle between the thoughts of the old and the…
@HeraldOfPurity I was reading this passage today. I believe that Simon misunderstood how salvation, and the indwelling of Holy Spirit worked. I believe that is the lesson we are to draw from this section of Acts. His naïveté earns a stern rebuke, and a real dressing down, but we are left with…
@Carpet16100850 @Vinsaneforjesus Kids do a lot of maturing through their teens. Full of hormones at 13, trying to prove themselves to their mates. Lots of boys do daft stuff and grow out of it, especially if their parents are looking out for them. Mine was a handful but he seems to have seen the light now (17).
Acts 7:35–39 Watching Stephen destroying the High Priest and elder’s Council must have been electric. One of my heroes from the early Church.

@JesseDornfeld @ArbEvMo I used to have a Saab! Nicely made but expensive to run!
I replaced it with one of these. A Mitsubishi Delica which I had for 80,000 miles and which I loved…! t.co/RVnI6UyIP…
Stephen’s speech in Acts 7 is amazing! No wonder the High Priest and Council were so enraged. No-one likes being shown up for the self-serving blinkered people they are. The treatment of Jesus and the early Church is a template for that we are likely to see in the end days.
@Alice_F_Liddell @JesseDornfeld Agree. And gently announce your presence. Hi, how are you. How’s things going, What are you doing here, etc.
@OnTongues @HeraldOfPurity Jesus spoke in ways that would be understood by those with hearts soft enough to hear. Having gone through that process myself, it really speaks to me. In the early years of His ministry it was important to avoid rocking the boat politically, too soon. He knew when His time…
@HeraldOfPurity I’d not thought about it like that, but yes, I think you might be onto something in how I’m feeling right now. I think ‘awe’ can transcend the words on the paper.
@HeraldOfPurity I’m finding it quite disconcerting. The last time I read John I was reading about 10 chapters a day. It was a whirlwind. This time I am reading it far more slowly, and making notes. A totally different experience. John puts the pieces together so thoroughly. When Jesus speaks its…
Reading the Gospel of John makes me realise just how finite my brain is.
