@Carpet16100850 @MikeWingerii I listen to a lot of Mike’s stuff on Spotify. Good for the car or just on headphones. Only thing is I have to keep stopping, rewinding and listening again about half a dozen times because his stuff really does need concentrating on sometimes!
@Carpet16100850 @MikeWingerii I tried, but I couldn’t put it better myself! His stuff is great. I love how deep he goes and he is so careful to present all the angles and so respectful to other Biblical viewpoints, that I can have confidence I’m not being fed a line! His Jesus in the Old Testament is amazing.
But… but… my evening… 😭😭😭

@CreatedforaPur1 @Carpet16100850 One of the most interesting chapters in the NT, for the admission of ‘sharp disagreement’ between Paul and Barnabus. It’s clear they agreed to disagree on what was a secondary issue. But I’m sure there’s a deeper lesson there too.
@CSLCHSnMore Me!
I know… pride… what can I say?! I’m only human but I’m trying!
@ZolotojKrokodil @ArkEncounter You really think it was built by one guy smh
@CreatedforaPur1 I think that is why it’s so misunderstood by us Gentiles. We just don’t get the allegories going back to Daniel et al. I’m listening to MacArthurs 1994 Revelation verse by verse sermons on GTY. He’s very thorough. Nothing can be taken for granted.
@men_like_trees @joebennett1988 @DPavlantos Yes ambiguous use of the word judgement on my part. I of course meant it in the sense of making a considered decision on the facts before you 🙂
@EhzNow @whynotarmy t.co/cp9MYZtC5…
@TheLeviOliver @khondowe_henry @paulwasher You are right. God is perfectly just and will judge accordingly. Below a certain level of maturity that He knows, we are saved by grace alone, whether baby, child or even the unborn, whom he knows while still in the womb.
@JesseDornfeld It depends if they are male or female lesbians
(I’ll get my coat)
@rayskidude @DPavlantos Love that!
@men_like_trees @joebennett1988 @DPavlantos While we forgive, that doesn’t change the other person. Even if they repent they are flesh, just as we are. They will fall short just as we all do. Judgement and discernment should dictate how much we can ‘trust’ again! #HealthyFaithChat
Great point about forgiveness being the key to avoiding being slave to anger. #HealthyFaithChat
‘Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. '
Ephesians 4:31 twitter.com/lifeinoverflow…
@men_like_trees @DPavlantos Spot on.
@DPavlantos #HealthyFaithChat We are no more worthy of forgiveness or salvation than anyone else. We are forgiven by God’s grace through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We forgive others as He forgave us, in appreciation of this.

@trenchfaith4X When churches set out to thrill with spectacle and theatrics, it’s not surprising they attract worldly thrill-seekers. Especially when many churches refuse to acknowledge man’s depravity, and affirm people in their sin.
@uusaint Won’t somebody think of the children!
@CSLCHSnMore One thing I had to work on was realising that I was hopefully looking for the wrong things out of each post I made (engagements basically). I reminded myself of Colossians 3:23. Whatever I do I do for Him. I have been much happier since.
@CSLCHSnMore I feel your pain, David. Twitter is a time-sink. Box the time off. Avoid mindless scrolling. But remember that it is a great place for fellowship and evangelism as well, and you have built a following that can help reach and lift others.

@CreatedforaPur1 I’m working through Revelation at the moment and spending more time in commentaries (curiously enough) so my usual daily reflections have been interrupted by a deeper dive. But it’s nice to share random stuff occasionally!
@CreatedforaPur1 I need to do a graphic for this!
