@CSLCHSnMore #HealthyFaithChat A2. At times it has felt like us against the world. A husband’s first loyalty must be to his wife, and then his children. That demands choices be made sometimes. Extended families can be challenging! But we have been made stronger as a result.

@Stuartall1977 Bristol has quite a lot of choice, from evangelical biblical fellowship, Calvary Chapel, all the way through to charismatic, NAR and Word of Faith 🧐

@Stuartall1977 At the moment I dont… I was raised CofE but was only truly saved a couple of years ago. Family circumstances (my wife’s health) mean I’m unable to make corporate worship at the moment. I hope this will change because I feel I need face to face fellowship.

@CSLCHSnMore #HealthyFaithChat A1 Between 1 man and 1 woman. With the husband the head, as Christ is to his Bride, the Church. Both in the image of God, equal before Hi, though with different roles. Not just a partnership, but one flesh.

Hi folks. There are three types of Universe.

  1. Marvel Universe
  2. DC Universe
  3. My Little Pony

@Stuartall1977 Ha ha ha! I didn’t realise it was so obvious (just done it again…!)

@CSLCHSnMore Chuck Norris does not join #HealthyFaithChat. #HealthyFaithChat joins Chuck Norris.

@Stuartall1977 The only problem you’ve got now is that Paul won’t recognise you when you meet again next year!

@Mikelo113 @Stuartall1977 @DRMSHPhD If theologians feel the need to keep finding new things to say, they are probably in the wrong business. A proper view of Adam’s sin is just as necessary as a proper view of the salvation that comes through Christ. Romans 5 states it so clearly.

@theBooneWeather @JesseDornfeld Of course… rank heresy to believe otherwise, if anyone was wondering!

@JesseDornfeld Is it even possible to be a Christian and not hold to the Trinity (asking for a friend!).

On a more serious note, I’m looking forward to reading this. The Trinity is hiding in plain sight, and it’s always nice to shine light on it and bring it to the front and centre.

This is very helpful. I see quite a number of people on Twitter who are sat in the ‘License’ camp, evangelising a position that abdicates man from any change of heart after conversion. If we are not different from the World we must question whether we are really saved. twitter.com/CreatedforaPur…

@StoneKamino @pinkfloyd I’d have driven the long way just to make sure I could enjoy it all before I got home. I’m a big fan of Pink Floyd, particularly pre-Dark Side, and live. youtu.be/jWB2xTubGLk

I’ll leave you with this tonight. My Favorite Things - John Coltrane with the amazing McCoy Tyner on piano. Goodnight.

@Carpet16100850 Thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to read it and let me know what you thought! Reading the book begged a more thorough response than I could do on here. I’m glad you enjoyed it!

@BanksClan @ChrisannDawson @SterlingSpector @DPavlantos It could well be. I think there is more to this than first meets the eye. Particularly given the audience (Pharisees) that Luke was addressing.

@BanksClan @ChrisannDawson @SterlingSpector @DPavlantos Luke 15:21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

He did admit his error, but the father chose not to dwell on this, asking for his best robe - he covered him like God covered Adam and Eve.

@men_like_trees @KevinObie1 @DPavlantos So much to appreciate even in this apparently familiar story. #HealthyFaithChat

@DPavlantos A10. When I heard the story as a child I never understood the basic messsage, which is in retrospect an utter failure of the teachers at the time! We don’t get to hear about the older son and how he turned out. One hopes that the Holy Spirit worked on his heart #HealthyFaithChat

@DPavlantos @men_like_trees A6. He ran. Which would have been an extraordinary thing for an older man to do for his son in the ancient Middle East. It suggests humbleness, and meekness. Genuine forgiveness and absence of self. #HealthyFaithChat

@DPavlantos A4. When he was hungry, he ate with the pigs. When he was STARVING he came back to his father. There’s a lesson in there somewhere. #HealthyFaithChat
