This is the same World that is seeking to upend millennia of complimentarianism, weaken or destroy the institution of marriage, and import political ideas that are the antithesis of Jesus' teaching, and teaching found elsewhere in the Bible.
Arguing that friendships between men and women should be conducted in the same way as those between people of the same sex is a slippery slope, in the same way as egalitarian and same-sex relationship arguments are a slippery slope. All erode the centrality of Christian marriage.
Billy Graham had it right. Avoid situations where there are not two or three witnesses (2 Corinthians 13:1). Take care that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak (1 Corinthians 8:9).
If you want to be the stronger brother and take a less considered approach to this dilemma be my guest, but please don’t be surprised if it backfires at some point. Modest custom developed and was maintained for very sound reasons and we should be careful to discard it.
The World says that there is no difference between men and women, that it is childish to differentiate friendly relationships between men and women from those between those of the same sex. Are you afraid you cannot control yourself? They ask.
I see this topic dominating Twitter discourse at the moment and I feel compelled to address it because it is linked with a couple of other topics that concern me vis-a-vis where the discussion is coming from.

@EhzNow I wish there were more sound and inspirational Christian YouTubers in the UK. Joe Kirby is one of the few. His ministry was quite inspirational for me when I first came to Christ.
@EhzNow It’s wierd.. the video itself only mentions Lilith in passing right at the end, but the YouTube card makes out that’s the main contents of the video. I think there was some mix up with the YT description. Lilith is a bit clickbaity 😀
