@SarahGeringer What a garden! I can imagine how much work that is. But what a reward!

@life_exchanged My hands do like to remind me that I’m mortal and not long for this world (I’m 49!).

@EhzNow @YouTube Bookends is one of my favourite albums. And America the highlight. There are Beatlesque moments in the instrumentation but that just highlights how influential Sgt. Pepper was on even Simon & Garfunkel.

Revelation 7:17 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. #JesusSaves #BibleStudy revelation.bible/revelation-7-17 t.co/t171SrWYY…

@men_like_trees Or like the Pharisees, we may be very well read, but completely miss the point. Scripture is not Shakespeare! #MLJbeatitudes

@men_like_trees Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Studies in the Sermon on the Mount:

To expect Christian conduct from someone who is not born-again, is heresy. #MLJbeatitudes

@CSLCHSnMore The Road to Salina is one of Rita Hayworth’s last films and she is amazing in it. A very odd but very compelling film.

@fearGodoverman Congratulations! Here’s a nice one - my daughter’s name!

Aelwen, Welsh for Blessed Brow. welshgirlsnames.co.uk/aelwen/ Can be pronounced aisle-wen or ale-wen

The album has some great musical moments. Next track The Lamb is also fab. youtu.be/Ku15aCjTm8w

If you’re wondering, I do believe this was a genuine and serious attempt to do the subject justice, though the motivation was more in the style of artists who seek inspiration from the scriptures rather than an attempt to evangelise.

@men_like_trees Thanks for the heads-up. I’ve a 3 hour drive tomorrow so plenty of time for Dr. Jones and BibleThinker on Spotify! The best bit about long car journeys 🤓

In 1972 you could release a double concept album based upon the book of Revelation, and 50 years later it would still be considered a classic. This was Vangelis' first breakthrough band.

Aphrodite’s Child - The Four Horsemen youtu.be/pJ_UYHqWfJk

@CSLCHSnMore In no particular order.

Arrival (2016) The Village (2004) The Matrix (1999)

Also love THX1138 (1971), The Conversation (1974) and La Route de Salina (The Road to Salina), 1970

@RedeemedRags This tweet really deserves to be ratio’d. Just to add to the irony! 👍🏻

@TheBelieverJC Always ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour that we will not expect!

@EhzNow @tedgioia One of the best theme tunes in US TV history, IMHO. youtu.be/NRcDiJs9R6s

@JesseDornfeld In the words of C.S. Lewis, “the gates of hell are locked on the inside”.

@JesseDornfeld ‘We need an Ark’. It is depressing to look around at all the debeauchery and self-centredness of the west. It’s easy to despair. But the World has been in a worst place in terms of evil. People in the west are just choosing sin. No-one gets ‘sent to Hell’ but many choose it.

Revelation 3:20 Listen for His knock. Listen for His voice. #JesusSaves bible.com/bible/59/rev.3… t.co/U1jP1hmwH…

@markwillworship @JesseDornfeld Sproul was a genius. I don’t agree with him on everything but he was a genius and a fantastic teacher.

@life_exchanged I have started doing this. Twitter can be a scary place. More that could be said but I’ll leave it there. God bless you Ginny Lynn.

@EhzNow @TheFigen 10

@JesseDornfeld @og_Ethio @SecularOutpost This is a useful overview. citylightseattle.com/blog/the-giant… It’s interesting how this account ensured that credible witnesses (Centurions) were there to see and describe Jesus leave the tomb. With plenty of embellishment of course.

@JesseDornfeld @og_Ethio @SecularOutpost That would be a really obvious one! Have you heard about the Gospel According to Peter (Apocrypha) The resurrection story there attempts to address the ‘deficiencies’ of the events described in the Gospel. And it’s hiliarious. You can see the sticky fingers of man all over it.
