@aimeebyrdPYW @AnthonyAlphin @PatrickKMiller_ I may not have an account that bears my name but I am just as accountable to God on here as I will be when I stand before Him in that future time.

God knows who uses earthly anonymity to bully and hurt others. He will ensure they are judged rightly. Real Christians know this.

2 hours 40 minutes into @MikeWingerii’s epic 3 hour livestream. It’s not often I need to take rest breaks during YouTube videos.

@JesseDornfeld @ChrisRay It really winds me up how YouTube classifies Religion as ‘Thoughts’ or ‘Conversation’. Is it really that much of a dirty word… 🙄

@shemaiahng The Big Mountain version of ‘Baby, I Love Your Way’. It just has to be sung out loud. Always a singalong song when it comes on the radio in my car.

@gavinortlund @JesseDornfeld I worry that many professing Christians don’t really believe in Satan or the kingdom of darkness. They are so keen to make excuses for sinful behaviour, and hate anyone that points that out, never realising that Satan is the great deceiver. The antichrist will dress as a teacher.

@EhzNow @TheVelvetVoyce I must admit I have a few copies of Kind of Blue. I would very much like to find a copy of the Columbia 4-Track Stereo Reel to Reel, but for now, my MiniDisc is my favourite. I do like obscure formats. t.co/YtzNdeHSC…

@EhzNow @TheVelvetVoyce I don’t know if there’s a definitive statement on which is the correct title. Even Bill’s notes were amended for later releases, IIRC, which would suggest he got them wrong, which is impossible! I need to go back to Ashley Kahn’s book and see what he said!

@EhzNow @TheVelvetVoyce Blue in Green. A sublime tune.

I’d not realised it was a special day, today, for Kind of Blue. Odd because I was thinking on the mystery of the switched naming of the two tracks on Side B. Bill’s original notes imply All Blues is the last number…

@EhzNow What a nightmare. I hope they’re able to get it fully sorted. I hope you don’t go stir crazy! Plenty of time for study! Any plans?

@Bluesjazz6A @EhzNow One of my favourites. Happy birthday, Bill.

@men_like_trees Ha ha ha. It doesn’t feel like that. I am stuck in the house quite a bit though, so study at is something I can do, evenings and weekends…

@men_like_trees It would make sense for you and your friend to catch up and then I will fall back in step with you - it will give me a chance to focus on a couple of other areas for a couple of weeks! I’m listening to his Genesis sermons on MLJtrust.org as well 😀

@men_like_trees I’m happy to play it however you prefer. It’s quite intense really taking the time to understand the full scope of MLJs commentary. If it’s easier for you to focus one chapter at any given time that is fine. My thoughts are on here when you get to them…

@men_like_trees Hi Kevin, I hope you are well. How are you doing with the #MLJbeatitudes? I’m about to start Chapter 9 but don’t want to get too out of step… All the best 😀 Nick

@Hawkhead_JM @CSLCHSnMore Here’s an example of one. youtu.be/IgKehkOkdXs

@CSLCHSnMore Ha ha ha! Must be my copy then!

@CSLCHSnMore ESV for me. A nice balance between reliable translation and readability. Though there are some surprising areas where the translation could be better. Genesis for one. It’s very easy to compare translations online, which I do, often, to ensure comprehension in tricky spots.

@CSLCHSnMore The NIV was the first translation I read end to end though and it does read nicely - but it has some very troubling translation choices which betray an agenda, sadly. I’ve noticed it used increasingly by political activists masquerading as Christians.

There must be no vestige of sin remaining in us. Righteousness that is absolutely perfect. And of course the moment we realise that, then we see that it is something we ourselves cannot do. We must therefore recieve it as helpless paupers. We must take it entirely as a free gift.

Righteousness to them means just being decent and moral up to a certain level.

But righteousness ultimately means being like the Lord Jesus Christ. That is the standard. If we want to face God and spend eternity in His holy presence, we must be like Him.

And when one tells them that one has to receive this salvation as a free gift, because WE SHOULD BE like the Lord Jesus Christ Himself if we should be fit to stand in the presence of God, they say ‘now that is making it impossible for us’.
