@HoneycombHermit @virginia_garret It’s the best word! And the best smell!
While we are at it my other favourite word is ‘sonder’ 😀

And before anyone says anything, @CSLCHSnMore - I’ve earnt it!
That’s all folks…! I’m off for a lie down now. Siesta!

@SarahGeringer A8 If not in this life, the lazy will get their just-deserts in the next. God doesn’t look favourably upon the slothful.
So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. James 4:17

@JamesKentjr @SarahGeringer Having only a very basic welfare system for those truly unable to work helped. And stigma for those capable, but unwilling. Off topic, but that’s partly where we’ve gone wrong since the 60’s.
#HealthyFaithChat
@CSLCHSnMore That’s an interesting job! Would be highly unusual in the UK, at any rate! #HealthyFaithChat
@SarahGeringer A7. I think there’s something here about how you don’t really value something unless you’ve worked for it.
And there is truth in that. #HealthyFaithChat
@SarahGeringer A6 Laziness definitely destroys relationships, in marriages, in families and at work. It can also influence others to sloth. I don’t think there’s anything good can be said for laziness. 1 Corinthians 10:31 #HealthyFaithChat
@SarahGeringer A4 I’m not sure that I am prosperous. I work hard, I provide for my family and my children don’t want for things, though sometimes they have to wait. We have a home, which is paid for, and savings. Those are the important things.
#HealthyFaithChat
@SarahGeringer A3 Diligent people by their example put the lazy to shame. And they encourage those who want to work by sharing the load and making the task finish that much quicker.
The most diligent people I have met are those who have a passion for what they do. #HealthyFaithChat
@bethany_smythe @SarahGeringer A2 I couldn’t put it better myself. Laziness is stealing. From your boss and your co-workers.
#HealthyFaithChat
@rayskidude @SarahGeringer This is so true. #HealthyFaithChat
@bisbanowrites 😂 #HealthyFaithChat
@SarahGeringer A1. I have never seen an ant that is not focussed on their work. They can move mountains, when working together. They leave trails for others to follow. And they can take a weight that seems far breater than they should ever manage!

@virginia_garret I was so glad when it rained. The poor garden. And it lets me use my favourite word - petrichor!

@CSLCHSnMore Très drôle!

Hi, I’m Nick and it’s been a bit wet round here the last few days. After forty days of drought. Almost biblical.

@CSLCHSnMore A biblically accurate angel would certainly be a talking point.
@PatrickKMiller_ @aimeebyrdPYW @AnthonyAlphin I’m not a martyr and you don’t need to be so rude to make your point. Feel free to find another straw man. I was just trying to make a supportive point that shed some light from another angle.
@Stuartall1977 @RettCopple I’m like you. Given the choice I’d like to surround myself with people here who don’t continually rub my nose in the worst the world has to offer. It’s nice to have found a community of people who really care about Gods Word, Jesus' sacrifice, and the truth of scripture.
@Stuartall1977 @RettCopple Given we live in a world awash with unchristian, unbiblical, amoral, self-satisfying people, everywhere, in the media, the news, in entertainment, it’s stretch to say any of us who believe Jesus is Lord are in an ‘echo chamber’. It’s no surprise they wouldn’t get that though.
@JesseDornfeld And God cannot unsee it. In fact, he saw it already. When Jesus ‘became sin’ (2 Corinthians 5:21) he took on all sin, for all time. I do find that mindblowing. Imagine the pain, the shame. Shame that Jesus despised (Hebrews 12:2). When you really think on that, it does help.
@PatrickKMiller_ @aimeebyrdPYW @AnthonyAlphin Speaking personally my anonymity is a protection against the mob, a toxic online environment and world where the Gospel and a biblical worldview is offensive. What I do and my conduct is for His glory, not mans.
Many Christians seem to act like He doesn’t exist or doesn’t Know.
