@itzruhama Of course, real, living and ready to return.
@virginia_garret Would you describe marijuana as psychoactive? Or are you thinking psychedelics / stimulants?
@EhzNow I have always said that I would have loved to have been 18 in 1967. Or a precocious 16 year old. And to have lived in London or New York! Those years were magic for music.
@EhzNow I must admit I struggle with Jimmy Page’s occult interest, his love for Crowley. It comes through in his lyrics too. I was never a fan I must admit, but I definitely couldn’t listen to them now. He seemed quite serious about it all back in the day.
@backpewguy @CSLCHSnMore A sad demonstration of entropy, and I speak of Europe too which is in a very similar state. 2020 showed how easily the basics we take for granted can be lost.
I hope that there will be a correction though as the most egregious chickens come home to roost - they surely must.
@virginia_garret @KnightlyMike My other pet-peeve… DM immediately after a follow? Instant Block! Ain’t nobody got time for that! t.co/Qn3PPjp1I…
@Stuartall1977 When a floppy disc typically held 700k a 10Mb hard drive was massive! Just imagine having all your favourite software preloaded! My first computer didn’t have a hard drive at all. It’s amazing how far these things have come.
Genesis 45:7 Joseph and his brothers are reconciled.
“God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth, and to keep alive for you many survivors.” Joseph’s foresight, borne out of slavery, saves not only Egypt, but Canaan and ‘all the world’. bible.com/bible/59/gen.4… t.co/KGgW1Sjic…
@shemaiahng Wow! That’s fantastic! What a great surprise.
@shemaiahng @americamag @Kerry_Weber Well done! There’s nothing like seeing your words in print!
@HoneycombHermit That’s a really good idea. Thank you. I’m used to how YouTube tailors it’s content but not thought so much about Twitter. I notice too you can subscribe to ‘themes’ like Art and Nature these days, as well as individuals. I need to flood my timeline with more wholesomeness!
@CSLCHSnMore It’s Monday, I figured you could do with some gee’ing up!
@CSLCHSnMore Are you by any chance referring to ‘trousers’, young man?
Hello Friends.
My feed here is increasingly spotlighting blasphemy, heresy and the worst of this world. I use Lists and Muting to stop Twitter promoted rubbish but it seems impossible to avoid and I’m finding my reaction to this stuff is really visceral at times.
Any pointers?
@karentingen And it’s always ‘Exit via the Gift Shop’. No way out but through Babylon.
@Carpet16100850 Let me know what you thought!
@Stuartall1977 The video looks Satanic with the invocation of incantations and fire. You don’t even need to be a theologian to know that something is very wrong when you value the word of man over the word of God.
@Carpet16100850 You’re welcome. I don’t know how mainstream, or reliable, the analysis is, but I quite like cryptography, and this is an interesting puzzle.
I have added a few more thoughts on the extended post on my blog. Do check it out occasionally, for more like this.
Genesis 34:7. Dinah is dishonoured. Jacob’s sons seek vengeance.
This is a difficult story. Sin against us is never put right by our own sin. Genesis 34 shows what happens when we trust in ourselves. Better we should trust in God. HE will ensure justice. bible.com/bible/59/gen.3… t.co/LOw5rDU8T…
Genesis 32:28 Jacob wrestles with God.
When we pray, when the Spirit helps us with our insecurities, and we can barely describe our fears or our needs, our prayer is wrestling with God. bible.com/bible/59/gen.3… t.co/QqzJr4prG…
@Carpet16100850 I don’t know what to make of this, but it is interesting. youtu.be/PtATSQx3cjI
An excellent video on a difficult subject. @MikeWingerii’s notes are 37 pages long and well worth reading. A serious contribution to the scholarly debate on wives’ authority with respect to husbands. I hope he does get to discuss it with Craig Keener. I’m sure both would benefit!
@virginia_garret @coffee_anytime @edhendryauthor 2! And my earliest memory was being on the swing in the back garden of the house my parents left in late ‘75. I also remember the day we moved. Me on my tricycle as the removal lorry came up the road.
@EhzNow @YouTube I love the Truck Turner soundtrack. Better than Shaft, IMO - as a complete album at least.
