@EhzNow @tedgioia I’m not sure how the law in France, Italy, Spain or elsewhere in the EU, works. I believe in Spain, it’s allowed for a parent to allow a child a ‘taste’ in a restaurant. Wine is generally watered down for children in Spain, in my experience.
@EhzNow @tedgioia In the UK, the law says that if you’re 16 or 17 and accompanied by an adult, you can drink beer, wine or cider if you’re out eating a meal at a restaurant or other licensed premises. Children 5-17 can drink at home. It’s illegal to give a child under 5 alcholic drinks at all.

We are found guilty but He paid the price on our behalf. If we were ‘just’ forgiven that would only be half the story 😀

When someone offers a gift, it is unbecoming to try and pay for it, or to argue that we are not worthy. Just imagine arguing that with the Father and the bloodied Lamb!

@EhzNow There are going to be an awful lot of disappointed people who have spent more or less time convincing themselves that the plain meaning of scripture can be interpreted to agree with their preferred world view, when God Himself decides who enters the Kingdom of Heaven.

Anything else would refute Jesus' total sacrifice, and nothing can refute that.

Jesus took that guilt upon himself, but does it make us ‘not guilty’ or ‘innocent’. Jesus certainly paid the price, the ransom for our freedom. The absolution her bought was absolute, there is no remaining stain.
