@JesseDornfeld @sbkaufman 🔥🔥🔥

@JesseDornfeld @CapturingChrist I like to know that I’m likely to get what I clicked for.

@Brink_Thinker Yoke.

@realdanieltitus Me too! I also find reading different translations brings a different perspective on otherwise familiar passages. I often find myself asking ‘why does it say it quite like THAT’ then I do some digging and lo and behold - it says it just like THAT for a really good reason!

@realdanieltitus There is peace to be found in daily study.

@realdanieltitus Never boring. There is always something to learn. I read daily and even on familiar sections I find something new to ponder on. I’m currently doing M’Cheyne’s Plan which gives variety at a nice pace. I try and find at least one new thing in each chapter each day.

@JesseDornfeld @JakobFel @RZIMhq Don’t get me wrong, my comments above concern those who identify as deconstructing… I think that actively thinking about your faith, and looking to make more and more sense of your relationship with God is absolutely essential to a healthy life, sanctification and regeneration.

@JesseDornfeld @JakobFel @RZIMhq Very few people seem to deconstruct into a Biblical worldview. The vast majority seem on a slow slide into apostasy. Many seem to evangelise harder once they’ve left. I’d be interested in positive stories if you have them. Alisa Childers and Doreen Virtue spring to mind.

@JesseDornfeld @JakobFel @RZIMhq Necessary every day.

@JesseDornfeld @JakobFel @RZIMhq Yes, this vogue for deconstruction we see seems to be a direct consequence of corporate hypocrisy, malfeasance and bad theology on the individuals impacted 🙁

@JustnBullington The Overton Window just left the building.

@JesseDornfeld @JakobFel @RZIMhq I used to think judge a fallen man based on his works not his character. Don’t let his character failings damn the good that he did. To do otherwise is very much like the ‘no-second chances’ cancel culture we see around us. Not very Christian… I guess it depends on repentance.

@JesseDornfeld @JakobFel @RZIMhq Hmm. I’m not sure that the latter follows, as I think it through. Those people saved are still saved. The teacher is held to a higher standard, and unwitting ignorance (eg. because you only knew ½ a story) is allowed for by God…

@virginia_garret Helpful correction will seek to build you up, kind counsel will give you strength, and dignity, even if it hurts, that is how you will know if it is genuine.

@JesseDornfeld @JakobFel @RZIMhq I understand that RZ was a respected heavy-hitter in apologetics. I’ve heard the stories about his egregious conduct, truly next level.. how do you see his life’s work in light of his conduct. Does it render it suspect? Interested in your big-picture view as he won’t be the last.

@robstiles1 I was wondering why birth rates are falling in the West. Progress huh.

@Compass_Europe These verses are so beautiful. I love the symmetry.

The 5000 were Jews, and the 12 remaining loaves represented provision for the Twelve Tribes of Israel.

The 4000 were Gentiles, and the 7 remaining loaves represented provision for the Seven Gentile Nations of Deuteronomy 7:1.

@AnnLindberg5 Praying for your sanity Ann. Kids can be so hard, and some don’t stop being kids either, unfortunately. It’s good you got out today!

@Carpet16100850 He was the definition of faith alone - can you imagine standing before God with a rap sheet like he had before Damascus?! That would be scary we’re it not for the absolute redemption in Christ Jesus.

@Carpet16100850 He does. His honesty and his yearning to be with Christ leaps from the page. Yet his duty to us, his duty to bring lost sheep to the Shepherd calls him back.

What miracles the Spirit does to utterly transform the hearts of dreadful sinners like Saul.

There is hope for us!
