Very sad news. Queen Elizabeth II was an extraordinary exemplar of dignity and duty. An example to all monarchs. And I fear the last great monarch we will see. It may be unfashionable but I’m proud to have had her as my Queen and Queen of this country these last 70 years. twitter.com/bluangelwarrio…

@Curi_Christian @autocorrect2_0 After the fall work became a burden, but you can be sure that it was a joy before that fateful day!

@Curi_Christian @autocorrect2_0 God created Man to be a creature who works. In the pre-fall state of Eden man worked, Genesis 2:15. I see no reason why this isn’t a model for how Heaven will be. We can give glory to God in everything we do, Colossians 3:17 I’m sure there will be plenty of singing in Heaven too!

@realdanieltitus Of course! I think it’s interesting because it makes a case for dishonesty under circumstances where lives would otherwise be under threat.

@realdanieltitus Here’s another one for you! Who in the Old Testament lied to protect Joshua’s men? And why is this situation so interesting for theologians? #The_Bible_Thinker

@Carpet16100850 @YouTube Definitely want to watch this. It’ll be interesting to see what they say 😀

@realdanieltitus It’ll be nice to read it again. Poetry, almost and only three chapters! Strong stuff being quoted by Paul and Hebrews…

@realdanieltitus Ooh. No!!! Hint: He was one of the minor prophets 😁

@realdanieltitus Which enigmatic Prophet opens his Book with a complaint about how God doesn’t seem to hear him? And later writes that ‘The righteous shall live by faith’ which was later quoted in Romans, Galatians and Hebrews.

Matthew 9:5-7 Which is easier? To say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? bible.com/bible/111/MAT.… t.co/PxrTxL4t3…

@JesseDornfeld You FBI guys are so obvious! t.co/38yJdybCL…

@realdanieltitus Poor old Job. A really challenging Book. He came out of it OK in the end but what he went through would definitely break most people. There are some great lessons for us along the way though…

@EhzNow Roger Waters is so embarrassing. This is what you get when you take ‘no borders’ to its natural conclusion. He was so much better when he stuck to Animal Farm allegories and poetry about the human condition.

@shane_pruitt78 @YouthsfChrist Is the truth behind that verse secret knowledge that requires a purchase to unlock? Pretty bold statement to say that it’s a lie that Christians have been believing all these years.

@JesseDornfeld Funny how the best ones (eg. The Matrix) are often thinly disguised rewriting of Messianic resurrection prophecy.

@JesseDornfeld Secular movies in general… the wholesome ones at least - all the good triumphs over evil / the good-guy wins out - but without the substance of The Cross. Watch them for fun, but don’t expect to find any lessons there.

@JesseDornfeld @PProvisionalist It is not a film I would recommend as it creates a false impression of the central moment of Jesus' ministry and apart from shock value it does more harm than good to sound theology.

@JesseDornfeld @PProvisionalist I tried. It’s depiction of Jesus' pain, humiliation and the brutality he suffered are a lesson, but it’s clearly drawn from extra-biblical sources and does not follow what we read in the Bible. Jesus is made to say things we have no record of. Things he did say are missing, etc..

This is great!

Should Christian Study The Bible? @InspiringPhilosophy youtu.be/mA2MKqwpbpw

@EhzNow @Franklin_Graham One has to assume they’re only in it for the money. It’s the same in the Church of England where believing in God is optional these days.

@JesseDornfeld @SlenderSherbet I thought you might find the juxtaposition amusing!

@SlenderSherbet @JesseDornfeld

@NotThatRBaxter They won’t last.
