@virginia_garret @CSLCHSnMore Very well put!

@CSLCHSnMore #HealthyFaithChat A1. Obedience comes from the heart, sacrifice can amount to ‘empty words’, if we think of the Old Testament (burnt offerings as a ‘work’). Obedience is ongoing. Sacrifice, sometimes less so.

Though in our modern minds the two can be almost interchangeable.

@PilgrimIntoWord @CSLCHSnMore Welcome!

#HealthyFaithChat

Good afternoon from Nick in the sunny UK.

Don’t be like these guys 😬 t.co/kQ5JMZmtb…

@KevinObie1 @CSLCHSnMore Obedience? Yes, sir! 🫡

@realdanieltitus So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, saying, “For I have seen God face to face, and yet my life has been delivered.” Genesis 32:30

@realdanieltitus Peniel!

@ThinkInst @threadreaderapp unroll

I would have thought seeing one of these would make people sit up and take notice…

@deadtosin610 I will. 🙏🏼

And pray for a world in which no-one else has to go through what that poor girl is going through.

@SarahGeringer I was going to follow your lead on when was best to post a review. Happy to do one sooner rather than later. Will read a bit more over the next couple of days and then post something later on the weekend. You should definitely take this turn of events as Providence!

@CSLCHSnMore @AnnLindberg5 @AndrewS76825037 @RealPaulAhnert @ThatGuyAMPPED @CarolBevil1 @TamaraCanty @thnorfar @momisnowtweetin @ClaudiaKalmikov @DanLee37540347 @live_the_light @men_like_trees @BEDonham @freewillforme @bel_cardwell @NoormanGJ Some great Follows here! Lovely to be in such good company.

@SarahGeringer You can how my review is going 😃

@SarahGeringer I grew up in the country. My childhood was very ‘Swallows and Amazons’ and that is very much where my heart is. I ended up in a green part of a small city but it’s not quite the same! It’s nice to read such a heartfelt paean to nature as it takes me right back!

@SarahGeringer Oddly that song has hints of the kind of connections you make in Hidden Manna. In a slightly secular way. t.co/0ytGufQ1L…

@SarahGeringer Reading the first few chapters I have a Marc Cohn song going round my head the words slightly muddled! ‘When I’m walking with Memphis… walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale’ 😃

I thought I’d share that and you can enjoy the earworm too!

@JesseDornfeld There’s nothing like the smell and feel of a nice soft leather bound Bible. I just wish you could get samples before you buy online, my first was really nice. The last two have been much cheaper feeling. I can’t afford the really expensive ones! I do like physical bibles though.

@realdanieltitus @ImTasha_ImTrini 🤓 Ha ha ha! 🙏

@chris_jolliff @realdanieltitus ‘And for three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank.’ Acts 9:9

Is it just coincidence that Saul died (to his sins), was cast into darkness, and born again in Christ three days later?

All the time wondering if he would ever see again. Acts 9:16 tells why.

@djhenshall Just a brilliant end to the series. This has been the best thing on UK TV for a long long time. Thank you.

@Curi_Christian Both but not all. Salvation is by faith alone in grace alone, in Christ alone. The organised Church, Roman Catholic, Orthodox or otherwise does not determine who is saved.

@JesseDornfeld I wouldn’t state it in quite such a binary way. While I still enjoy secular music, for example, my passion is for God’s glory and an understanding of his word and a deeper relationship with Him. This is reflected in how I spend my free time. But it’s not quite either / or.

While the magicians recognised God’s authority however, Pharoah wouldn’t. For the next three trials he would face ludicrously small foes of gnats, flies, and a pathogen too small to see at all. An interesting episode for sure.

Hardly a resounding demonstration of their skills, though it served to allow Pharoah that false-sense of superiority that his men could conjure just as well as Aaron and Moses. By the fourth occurence though even they conceded defeat admitting that ‘this is the finger of God’.
