@realdanieltitus I felt so tired tonight, but still made time to find Christ in Leviticus! And it was a joy when I did. So much to learn, so little time.

Just imagine how amazing Bible study was with Jesus! Best to be prepared!

“Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing” Luke 4:21

@JesseDornfeld The doors of Hell are locked from the inside.

@JesseDornfeld The hollow and unfulfilled promises of these preachers can only last so long. My earnest desire is that the desperate among their congregations find the real Gospel and a biblical Church and the strength of that fellowship. The greedy amongst them make their choice.

@JesseDornfeld I share your anger brother. I accept the follows from these people and hope that my honesty about the true Gospel cuts through to those with eyes to see. There is a spiritual war going on, between those who appeal to a desire FOR SELF and those who appeal to a desire to GIVE SELF

There is a subtlety here lost in condensing to a Twitter post, but the parallel is rather beautiful and makes sense of some difficult Leviticus passages. I’d like to give 18th century theologian Matthew Henry credit for helping bring Leviticus to life for me.

Leviticus 13:3-4 tells us leprous disease that is only skin deep is not unclean. But if it is deeper than the skin, a person is unclean. For us, weaknesses that exist alongside grace that do not sink deep into the soul, when the mind still serves the law of God - we may delight.

@CarmelMMartin8 @realdanieltitus There’s no right or wrong way of praying. God hears you even when you can’t find words, and can only cry out or groan in pain. Jesus is the way. But don’t worry about getting your prayers wrong.

@keith0718 @Agathon_B @Curi_Christian @men_like_trees @NathanBozeman2 @AleMartnezR1 @ArmchairTheo @AApologetics I’m ducking out gracefully! You both have a good evening 😀

@keith0718 @Agathon_B @Curi_Christian @men_like_trees @NathanBozeman2 @AleMartnezR1 @ArmchairTheo @AApologetics You know the Church is the body of Christ, people not organisation. Ephesians 1:22-23. 1 Corinthians 12:13.

Luther challenged an establishment that had lost its way. I suspect that if he was a heretic than I am too.

I guess this is where I duck out!

@Agathon_B @Curi_Christian @men_like_trees @keith0718 @NathanBozeman2 @AleMartnezR1 @ArmchairTheo @AApologetics What is ‘the Church’?

@Agathon_B @men_like_trees @keith0718 @NathanBozeman2 @Curi_Christian @AleMartnezR1 @ArmchairTheo @AApologetics I have no idea. But I would differ with Luther on his later life opinions regarding the Jews, so I don’t feel bound to agree with him on anything or everything anyway!

@men_like_trees @Agathon_B @keith0718 @NathanBozeman2 @Curi_Christian @AleMartnezR1 @ArmchairTheo @AApologetics I must admit that I personally came to the conclusion that the Bible was true, inspired and everything else that comes from that, because it was clear to me when I read it. Its internal coherence; prophecies made and then fulfilled, sets these 66 books apart from anything else.

@keith0718 @NathanBozeman2 @Curi_Christian @Agathon_B @AleMartnezR1 @ArmchairTheo @men_like_trees @AApologetics There is so much to say on this, but others do it far better than I could. Mike Winger on the New Testament Canon is essential. He also did one on the Old Testament.

@Agathon_B @Curi_Christian @NathanBozeman2 @AleMartnezR1 @ArmchairTheo @men_like_trees @AApologetics Paul’s writings reflect his personality though. Consider his repeated mentions of ‘boasting’ reflecting his awareness of that trait in himself. I believe that Spirit worked through the individuals selected and that there is an imprint of their personality on the result.
