@virginia_garret @dilipkjena Yes, this. #HealthyFaithChat
@dilipkjena A3 We are easily decieved by emotions - Jeremiah 17:9–10 and our understanding so limited. Even in Jeremiah’s day crowdsourcing knowledge was a good idea. Scripture is Gods word and God knows all… answers will be found there also, if we seek them.

@PilgrimIntoWord @dilipkjena That must have been so hard. These systems are programmed to object to the natural anger any parent should feel under those circumstances.
@dilipkjena A2 I try to be honest with friends about trials I’ve faced in the hope that it may help others. I’m not very good at reaching out for help to others, but I do try and take contructive criticism. I am continually looking for answers in Scripture. Much to learn.

@dilipkjena A1. Proverbs 20:18 Plans are established by seeking advice… Guidance can be given and received. If given - disclipleship - if recieved, wisdom. #HealthyFaithChat
@virginia_garret @dilipkjena Best wishes for a swift recovery, Virginia.
@AndrewS76825037 @dilipkjena Morning / afternoon Andrew.

@bassmanbrian That was a key factor if not THE factor in me stopping in the first place. ✊🏻
@kinzer_sarah Ha ha ha ha! In 10 years Twitter will be like MySpace or FriendsReunited. In 10 years the Church may well be mid-rapture! Even if it isn’t it’ll be around at least another millennium 😀
@GarrettJohnnie I didn’t realise you were undergoing cancer treatment. That must be tough. I hope that it going well for you. 🙏🏻
@EhzNow Oh, and I agree. The Bible is clear about maintaining sobriety. It’s also clear that drinking alcohol isn’t forbidden. Paul ‘prescribes’ it in 1 Timothy 5:23. But maintaining sobriety is easier said than done if you’re going to drink at all. Speaking from experience.
@EhzNow Yes, having children around is a strong factor for me not wanting to normalise alcohol. I know there are arguments against that. I was a child of the permissive seventies. And it’s for that reason I don’t want to have it around my children! Exposure is not innoculation!
@deadtosin610 You might like the formatting better on this one: biblegateway.com/resources/matt…
I like Matthew Henry’s Commentary because he keeps bringing things back to Jesus. And give it was originally published in 1706, it’s incredibly fresh too. I hope you give it a go.
@deadtosin610 I have found Matthew Henry’s Complete Commentary to be brilliant at explaining Leviticus in detail. I have the ‘New’ modernised English version but the original is quite easy to follow, and free: biblestudytools.com/commentaries/m…
@AndrewS76825037 Oddly, for me the main reason for abstinence in the first place was so I didn’t feel like I was missing out. It was easier to cut it completely, than feel I couldn’t when I wanted to. If that makes sense. It does to me!
I don’t drink, and haven’t for around 4 years or so. I used to enjoy social drinking and old-fashioned real ale, but now we keep a dry house. I have seen it cause so much grief I just can’t have it around. Even the smell is a problem for me now. I don’t miss it at all.
Are you teetotal, or do you drink alcohol? If you don’t drink, I’d be interested to know if that’s because of a conviction about drinking, or because you’ve struggled with it in the past?
@JesseDornfeld There are beautiful tattoos and there are very ugly tattoos. There seems to be a vogue at the moment for very ugly ones that look they were done in prison. While I don’t want one myself, I do understand why someone might want to get a nice artistic - and discrete - one.
1'30" today. Best average of 12 is 1'50" less pauses, getting better at the look-ahead. And learnt a couple of new moves. I’ll be happy to get my average between 60 and 90 seconds now… there are worse vices 😄 t.co/zSygg8k0g…
@CSLCHSnMore That’s a blast from the past! t.co/M4lkGvYdB…
@realdanieltitus I always read that verse in Matthew as saying that people will be so busy living their carnal and pleasure filled lives that they will not be ready for Christ’s return. He will come when the world is least prepared… but hey, its no big deal to disagree on the details! Bless you!
@shemaiahng Not obsessed, but they were the first band I ever saw live! Birmingham, England 1987 It’s funny how fast I was changing at the time. Within the six months it took between getting tickets and going, I’d gone all Goth, paisley shirt etc. I was quite a sight at that A-Ha concert! 😂
