@millsalice144 Teewt pot, thank you.
@JamesBejon @threadreaderapp Unroll Please.
@JesseDornfeld Remember that Jesus has you you, none are worthy, all are saved, if they believe. No-one deserves a place in Heaven. We are saved by His work on the Cross. It is clear that whatever sin you are wrestling with, you are repenting. In His grace, that is all that is asked of you.
@JesseDornfeld Thank you, it’s easy. You do interesting writing that is worth reading! ✊🙏
Deuteronomy 4:1-2 The Law regiven to a new generation.
Do not add to the word, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God…

@realdanieltitus Moses was named Moses by Pharoah’s daughter. His name means ‘taken from water’.
I like how Moses was set adrift in the river in a little ark, a basket coated with tar and pitch 😃 and I like how his Mum was chosen to take care of him. God’s providence at work.
@realdanieltitus I missed it!
@JesseDornfeld No idea about that account, but what an unserious question. If you HAD to commit apostasy… Just 😮
@_tardwaifu @PostliberalMan1 @JesseDornfeld Yes, it is a glaring and fundamental hole in his world view. Having watched his recent ‘Message to the Christian Church’ and ‘Message to Muslims’ I am realising that he is, right now, a new-wave prosperity preacher, for whom the Bible is a prop. I pray he comes to Christ soon.
@karentingen Excellent tip! 📝
@JesseDornfeld Not weird. Expected. We should hate our sin. I hate mine. It is what makes us different from the world.
@virginia_garret Thank you for pointing me to Ephesians today. It is a wonderful statement on God’s gift. Well worth reading again, and again 🙏
@CavanPaulMulv18 @dilipkjena I don’t disagree, but remember that Jesus came to fulfill the Law. Salvation is through His grace, not our adherence to the Law, which He fulfilled on our behalf. Galatians 3:23–25 is fantastic on this. Christ’s commandments are more demanding than just The Ten #HealthyFaithChat

@dilipkjena A9. When man believes himself greater than his Creator.
Genesis 11:4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.”

@dilipkjena A8. Ancient Jews believed that the heart is where the soul lies, also consciousness, intellect and emotion. All life, therefore, so essential to guard it. It is also the seat of sin, if manipulated. To us modern readers I would urge ‘head’ rather than ‘heart’. #HealthyFaithChat
@dilipkjena A7. How many times have you seen red, and then looked back 10 minutes later when sheepishly trying without success to explain to someone else what bugged you so much?!
Wisdom comes with reflection, and a deep breath. Self-control likewise! #HealthyFaithChat
@dilipkjena A6. Cont. Hard work will recieve it’s just reward. #HealthyFaithChat
@dilipkjena A6. This verse is referring to the future salvation and care God promises to the righteous. The hunger He satisfies is spiritual. God does not demand we only meet immediate needs, nor does He promise material riches in this life. I would encourage hard work! #HealthyFaithChat
@virginia_garret @CSLCHSnMore Happy (un)birthdays to you both!
@dilipkjena A5. To be earnest is to be sincere. Counsel or advice should not be given casually. Nor acted upon casually. God is specific in his instruction. Moses paid a terribly high price for casually taking His instruction when striking rather than speaking to the rock.

@dilipkjena A4. We are easily led. It is important to discern who we can truly rely upon to be objective and wise, rather than having our ears tickled. #HealthyFaithChat
@AndrewS76825037 @dilipkjena I couldn’t have put it better myself, so I won’t!
