I know @MikeWingerii’s videos tend to be a bit on the long side, but this latest one is ridiculous! Should keep me going for the rest of the week! t.co/CEyzJe43k…
@Carpet16100850 It’s a small college and it’s not graduate school (he’s 17) so none of that yet. But he’s very fixed in his opinions so won’t let anyone brow-beat him.
Both of us picked up The Bible around the same time. You’ll know I came to Christ late. He came to it of his own accord.
@Carpet16100850 It’s been quite extraordinary to see. We are both works in progress.
My son started college earlier this year and I get weekly updates on his progress. He’s doing really well. Studying music production. This weeks update included the following snippet which tickled me! t.co/KESco1BEv…
@JesseDornfeld I’m with you on this. It’s difficult to remain grounded. Politics in the US and UK over the last 5-6 years has become so parlous, so riddled with incompetence, so divided and frustrating that one just has to step away, emotionally, and set our eyes on Him. Vote, but trust Him.
@virginia_garret Well done Virginia. It’s nice to realise that others rate you so much higher than yourself. This experience showed that! And you’ll be heading for a distinction in the future, if you hand in work you consider to be actually finished!
@Carpet16100850 If you look down the thread there are arguments to and fro. I’ll be honest I feel that making an issue out of this risks straying terribly close to idolatry. Can you imagine what Jesus were to say if He were to witness in flesh an argument like this? He’d be turning over tables.
@virginia_garret @FreshFoodieGeek @werbette Real-world inflation running at 25% 😦
😞 Dividing over a matter like this is so sad. There are millions of people out there in blissful ignorance of the true Gospel and brothers in Christ are still arguing about whether the image of a cross should be empty or not. twitter.com/jferns_organ/s…
@JesseDornfeld I believe it’s more important to impact real people, than it is to impact scholars. Seriously. While scholarly recognition might good for one’s ego, speaking to someone’s heart is of far greater value 😀
@JesseDornfeld There’s an error in the second paragraph Jesse. It says ‘I am not well educated’ but that is clearly a typo! There are plenty of people graduating higher education who haven’t got a clue; your writing shows a sharp mind and articulate ability to communicate.
God bless your book!
@NancyRPearcey @JesseDornfeld Do ‘younger evangelicals’ even realise that their opinion on right and wrong matters for nothing? Do they even realise that God is the arbiter on all things. That they are all sinners, saved only by the death and resurrection of Christ in their place? I do wonder.
@realdanieltitus He was 12 years old.
Luke 2 tells us that He stayed behind when Joseph and Mary visited Jerusalem for Passover, and was found teaching at the Temple when they realised he was missing three days after they’d returned home!
Looking after kids was a community thing back then 😀
@RachaelColby7 @CSLCHSnMore Thank you!
Hi everyone. My daughter and I are going to the theatre this afternoon, seeing a production of Beauty and The Beast. So I won’t be around for #HealthyFaithChat unfortunately. I hope you all have a good chat despite this 😄 @CSLCHSnMore t.co/R1KoOD8aE…
@CSLCHSnMore It’s that #DailyDoseOfLarry what gone and done it!
@EhzNow It still shocks me that I am now older than she was when she died. Such a tragic loss, and such an underrated talent. t.co/qeDXygyST…
@EhzNow I’m sorry, I must have misremembered!
You know, this is very wierd. I am extremely familiar with Eli and the Thirteenth Confession. Laura Nyro is amongst my all-time favourite artists, having fallen in love with Beads of Sweat when I was in my teens. t.co/DCTJ0G1iO…
@EhzNow Thanks for your comments Eric. Yes I must admit I did choose to use it out of context, though I felt it summed up the idea I wanted to make. I will prefix my point with an out of context warning in the future I think. I felt it was an interesting parallel to draw though.
@PilgrimIntoWord @KevinObie1 I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to cope with that. You are obviously a very strong person, remember that even when you don’t feel it for yourself.
@PilgrimIntoWord @KevinObie1 Always keep you door open to them. I pray that they will come back with time and maturity. Social Justice is an insidious cult though. I really feel for you. I feel I have been lucky with my kids that they have rejected it’s extremes. No reflection on you or I. #HealthyFaithChat
@KevinObie1 A7. Never have children been exposed to so much relentless pressure from a world that is so morally bankrupt, celebrating self and victimhood. A drip drip drip that only becomes evident when the pool becomes a tsunami that is difficult to counterbalance. 🙁

A6. This can be interpreted in a number of ways.
Numbers 14:18 speaks of visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and fourth generation - which explains how poor parenting can impact generations.
We can also do good by good example.

@PilgrimIntoWord @KevinObie1 Thank you, this is so true. #HealthyFaithChat
@KevinObie1 A5. Loving, consistent, purposeful, encouraging, forgiving. Not angry, violent, self-serving, irrational, ignorant. #HealthyFaithChat
