@virginia_garret Seriously, no, I’m not worthy.

The Churches in Ephesus were made of quite different stuff to that in Corinth. A far more sanctified class of saint it would seem. To be honoured and remembered in Paul’s prayers, that’s quite an achievement.

Acts 13:41 Luke quotes The Lord’s answer to Habakkuk (Hab 1:5-8) ‘Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you you would not believe if told.’ Those who do not ‘get’ The Gospel, will perish. buff.ly/3xNSE9q t.co/BPzXdByM1…

@EhzNow I think this is where I land in terms of Free Will and Salvation. It is a complicated equation. I do not believe that man has no choice in his salvation. But I also believe God is all powerful and all knowing. The two ideas are compatible.

@JesseDornfeld I believe in Free Will. I also believe that God has foreknowledge which amounts to Him knowing how we choose. I also believe that at times He determines the course of events by allowing humanity to make choices. This is seen in the story of Pharoah, and man’s treatment of Christ.

1 Corinthians 10:17 We the Church are united in Christ, sharing in the saving grace of His death, represented in the Lord’s Supper. buff.ly/3E0Jl8z t.co/jYffHQlVs…

@CSLCHSnMore I know it’s too late but here is your excuse…

All the while you were looking to her heart, not these carnal things like eyes and face and hair and lips - almost quaint for a full blooded male at the prime of his life, but that is why you were made for her!

@KevinObie1 A7. With love, put simply.

But living that isn’t simple at all. We are not called to be dishonest, or appeasers, or to deny Christ. Love demands none of those things. Just as gentleness and meekness does not mean weakness.

This is what we are called to. #HealthyFaithChat

@KevinObie1 A6. As we walk with God, take up our Cross, our hearts are changed. And we will be recognised by our fruits (Matthew 7:16) #HealthyFaithChat

@KevinObie1 A5. We decieve ourselves, but not Almighty God. He knows our hearts better than we do.

Matthew 6:1

Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

@EllieR @KevinObie1 Anger is a window on the soul. You’re right that it shows the work left to do. #HealthyFaithChat

@KevinObie1 A4

Ecclesiastes 7:9

Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the heart of fools.

Anger clouds judgement and wisdom, and closes our hearts.

#HealthyFaithChat

@KevinObie1 I mean that carefully.

We often think that our opinion is helpful, but its not always what that person needs to hear, especially if they are feeling high emotion themselves. Often we are stating the obvious, and they see that for themselves when they calm down #HealthyFaithChat

@KevinObie1 A3. Thinking before acting. I know that in some of my personal relationships things can escalate quickly if I respond in momentary anger. Things go much better if I let things calm, and think things through properly. Often my opinion is not actually that useful.

#HealthyFaithChat

@ohtacosforotaku @KevinObie1 I have had to work on that. Latest report card indicates that I am doing better! I almost forgot about the US mid-terms!

#HealthyFaithChat

@KevinObie1 A2. When I feel threatened, or perhaps when my ‘authority’ is challenged by someone who has not yet ‘earnt’ that right!

#HealthyFaithChat

@Curi_Christian Aha, but would it be you or God deciding, regardless of the camp ‘you’ believed in 😀

@KevinObie1 A1. Pretty well as it was only a moment ago, but I do remember an occasion when someone close to me went missing and I had real difficulty describing them under those circumstances. #HealthyFaithChat

@backpewguy @KevinObie1 He could ‘do us a solid’ 😂#HealthyFaithChat

Morning everyone! Let’s hope today’s questions are easy!

@AnnLindberg5 I must admit I don’t give it much thought myself. It’s only happened to me once - probably for the best - but maybe I don’t go to places that are ‘dodgy’ that often! Carrying more cash is probably more risky because it doesn’t take much brains or effort to grab someone’s purse.

@AnnLindberg5 Did you use your card while you were away? If you did, then the most likely cause was that the details were recorded when you used it, got passed on to someone else very quickly after that, who ran another transaction using those details. Happened to me at a service station once.

@Gerecht_Suender I love the jump cuts. Even their memes can’t handle what their science insists happened!

If you needed reminding. You won’t find ‘name it and claim it’ in The Bible! my.bible.com/en-GB/bible/59… t.co/n3X0gO34N…

Psalm 126:6 The trust of the faithful in The Lord, despite all hardship, will find its reward in the future kingdom - the New Jerusalem - just as He preserved Jerusalem in the past. buff.ly/3hyoulp t.co/WL641cREH…

@Carpet16100850 It is hard in the face of the World and it’s pervasive influence. I’ve heard him taking quite a hard line with friends on Biblical morality but I’m not sure he fully understands and appreciates the Gospel yet. I am glad he is reading and studying though. He knows my perspective.
