@WarrenVaughan11 My son’s college felt it necessary to advise us that he was watching a ‘Bible Podcast’ after he’d finished his work. I do wonder if they’d have mentioned the type of podcast if were any other kind. He and we both found it funny at the time, but it was all slightly sinister too.

@GregoryHarold70 @DisciplePOV I use lists. You can use a list instead of the standard Timeline. My ‘Main’ list includes people I follow (and some I don’t) who tweet decent Christian content. I just remove accounts from that list if they tweet stuff I don’t want to see. Politics mostly!

@Carpet16100850 I used to have an Audible subscription. 30 days free, you get to keep whatever you buy after the subscription lapses, and you can ‘return’ books you’ve started but don’t like. They have Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 of MH' Concise Commentary (76h total) which might be a good place to start!
@Carpet16100850 The abridged version is only 2,200 pages. Most hardcopy versions I’ve seen are abridged. But the complete and unabridged version w/ modern language is available for Kindle and as an ebook elsewhere.

@JesseDornfeld @men_like_trees @AndrewS76825037 Matthew Henry has an interesting and somewhat satisfying answer to Job 9:23. God knows the ultimate end to any trial, it’s purpose for good. Modern translator choices are so confusing at times. The KJV seems to make much more sense to even the modern English language reader. t.co/vCYwjB007…
